The Brazilian government has recently announced that Vietnam has granted approval for the International Sanitary Certificate, enabling the export of salted bovine hides from Brazil. This development marks an important milestone in Brazil-Vietnam trade relations, as Vietnam ranks as Brazil’s fifth-largest agribusiness export destination in 2024. From January to November 2024, Vietnam imported over USD 3.51 billion worth of agricultural products from Brazil. The Brazilian administration under President Lula, which began in 2023, has already opened 303 new markets in 62 countries, emphasizing the nation’s growing influence in global agriculture.
