He condemned the attempts to undermine the region’s stability, asserting, “Let me be clear—no one can isolate our community. The real issue is not with Kenyans; it’s with President Ruto.”
Gachagua voiced his disapproval of President Ruto’s recent decision to eliminate the vetting process for residents of border counties applying for national identity cards, suggesting it aligns with a larger agenda to manipulate voter demographics and marginalize Mt Kenya’s political influence. He suggested that this could further entrench inequities within the region’s political representation.
