North Arrow Minerals Inc. is progressing with its exploration of the Kraaipan Gold Project in Botswana, having completed 80% of its detailed magnetic surveys. The project spans 724 km² and is positioned in a region with potential for gold and base metal deposits, despite historical exploration challenges. A drilling program is set to commence in May to investigate priority targets identified through recent surveys and mapping efforts.
North Arrow Minerals Inc. updates its exploration of the Kraaipan Gold Project in Botswana, covering 724 km² of the underexplored Kraaipan Greenstone Belt. The area holds potential for discovering gold and base metal deposits but has faced exploration challenges due to a shallow layer of Kalahari sands that obscure underlying geology. Past exploration efforts have primarily concentrated on the South African side, where notable mineral occurrences have been identified.
The company has completed approximately 80% of its planned detailed magnetic surveys using Remote Mapper UAV technology, which aims to pinpoint priority exploration targets beneath the sands. Structural and bedrock mapping is ongoing, with the expectation of completing the magnetic surveys by April. Following this, a three-month reverse circulation (RC) drilling program is slated to begin in May to collect geochemical samples and assess potential gold mineralization beneath the sand cover.
The Remote Mapper system has gathered over 21,000 kilometers of magnetic data at high resolution. This data will assist in evaluating structural features critical for identifying gold zones. Early exploration in the region has yielded gold mineralization through previous drilling activities, with the company now focused on systematically exploring and expanding knowledge of this area with enhanced technologies and insights from its partner, Rockman Resources.
The Kraaipan Gold Project consists of three mineral concessions within the Kraaipan Greenstone Belt, which has demonstrated mineral wealth, as evidenced by nearby gold mines. While Kalahari overburden limits exploration on the Botswana side, the new exploration strategy will utilize innovative methods to better assess the region’s gold potential. North Arrow aims to invest US$5 million in this project to earn a 60% interest by 2027.
North Arrow Minerals Inc. continues to advance its explorations at the Kraaipan Gold Project. The completion of magnetic surveys and upcoming drilling initiatives are viewed as integral steps in identifying gold deposits beneath Kalahari cover. The collaboration with Rockman Resources and strategic funding indicates a commitment to unlocking the geological potential of this region.
