Reflecting on his life journey, Wongbe expressed how he transitioned from being a refugee to becoming a successful entrepreneur. He remarked, “My journey has never been easy, but it shaped my commitment to impact. Politics is not about power—it’s about delivering results.” After losing the 2020 senatorial election, he continued his community support initiatives, emphasizing development over personal political gain.
Wongbe described District 9 as rich in resources yet plagued by underdevelopment. He mentioned the lack of infrastructure, such as poor roads, schools, and healthcare facilities, contributing to the community’s struggles. “When I took office, my people didn’t ask for speeches—they asked for roads, schools, and healthcare,” he stated, illustrating the urgent needs of his constituents.
