The number of recorded injuries has also increased from 469 to 483, predominantly caused by lightning and structural failures.
In response to the crisis, DoDMA has successfully provided assistance to over 80 percent of the affected households. The relief efforts include distributing essential items such as maize, beans, blankets, buckets, and plastic sheets for temporary shelter. The department has assured the public that ongoing relief operations will continue and that updates regarding the disaster situation will be regularly communicated.
