Iran has officially stated that it has not received any communication from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding negotiations on its nuclear program, as confirmed by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. He indicated in a television meeting with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that while there have been discussions about a message, no actual correspondence has been received.
Araghchi previously articulated to AFP that Iran is unwilling to partake in direct negotiations with the United States while U.S. sanctions remain in effect, asserting, “We will not enter any direct talks with the U.S. so long as they continue their maximum pressure policy and their threats.”
On the other hand, President Trump asserted he sent a letter to Khamenei, encouraging negotiations and expressing a desire to reach an agreement concerning Iran’s nuclear ambitions. However, Iran’s mission to the United Nations echoed the Foreign Minister’s statement, affirming they have not received any letter from Trump.

Moreover, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed confidence that U.S. attempts to undermine Iran’s energy exports and incite internal discord will not weaken the country’s determination. He stated, “If we maintain unity within the country and seize the opportunity to pursue development correctly, no external pressure can hinder our progress.”
