Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp. recently announced notable geochemical overlimit results from its diamond drilling program at the PCH project in Goias, Brazil. This program focused on the high-grade carbonatitic breccia located in the Southwest Extension Zone of Target IV. The drilled samples returned significant concentrations of Total Rare Earth Oxide (TREO), Niobium Oxide (Nb2O5), and Phosphate Oxide (P2O5), with 97 intervals from 516 samples reporting overlimit readings for various rare earth elements.
CEO Tom Drivas highlighted that re-analyzed results have substantiated the presence of exceptional mineralization within this carbonatitic breccia. This is in addition to prior discoveries of Ionic Adsorption Clay (IAC) rare earths within the project. Notably, the updated results reflect an increase of 19% in average TREO grades and 23% in average niobium grades compared to earlier figures reported on January 22, 2025.
The drilling yielded impressive results, including:
– PCH-DDH-002: 150m at 1.34% TREO, 0.13% Nb2O5 from the surface, featuring multiple high-grade intervals.
– PCH-DDH-003: 147m at 2.00% TREO, 0.23% Nb2O5 from the surface, with substantial intercepts throughout.
– PCH-DDH-004: 153m at 1.32% TREO, 0.20% Nb2O5 from the surface, also containing notable high-grade segments.
The recent drilling program at the PCH project has affirmed the presence of high-grade mineralization samples, bolstering Appia’s prospects in the rare earths market. With increased TREO and niobium grades resulting from the latest assays, the potential for extending mineralization at depth remains favorable.
