In addition, Pique’s company, Kosmos, was reportedly set to receive a yearly commission of 4 million euros while he was still an active player for FC Barcelona.
Despite these allegations, Pique, who is now retired from professional soccer and previously married to singer Shakira, has maintained his innocence. The investigation was prompted in 2022 after tapes surfaced that included discussions between Rubiales and Pique concerning substantial commissions.
