During his speech, the Amir conveyed Ramadan wishes to attendees, emphasizing the importance each individual has for their contributions and resilience, proclaiming that they are “heroes in our eyes and badges on our chests.” He underscored Kuwait’s commitment to fostering the capabilities of disabled individuals in various sectors including health, education, and sports.

The Amir praised the achievements of Kuwaiti athletes with disabilities, commending their successes in international sports events. KDSC Chairman Shafi Al-Hajeri noted the growth in the number of athletes with disabilities representing Kuwait, stating that participation increased from 30 to 350 since the organization’s inception, highlighting notable successes anticipated in the upcoming Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

In the same week, the Amir also visited the Kuwait Blind Association (KBA), where he acknowledged their efforts towards supporting individuals with vision impairment.
