Solis Minerals Discovers More High-Grade Copper at Cinto Project, Peru

Solis Minerals Ltd has identified additional high-grade copper at its Cinto Project in Peru, confirming its potential as a major porphyry copper system. Key findings include 26.5 meters at 0.28% copper, with plans for drilling in late 2025. The project showcases similarities to the nearby Toquepala mine and has commenced geophysical surveys to refine targets. The company also progresses with drilling at Chancho al Palo and Ilo Este.

Solis Minerals Ltd has reported promising developments at the Cinto Project in southern Peru, revealing additional high-grade copper findings. The results from this 100%-owned project enhance the company’s assertion that it is evolving into a significant porphyry copper system. The latest drill assays include a notable intersection of 26.5 meters at 0.28% copper, with a denser zone measuring 5.4 meters at 1.0% copper.

Building on previous achievements, further results from earlier channels indicated 23.4 meters at 0.88% copper and 16.8 meters at 0.52% copper. CEO Mitch Thomas emphasized, “These results confirm the significant potential at the Cinto Project, where we’ve substantially expanded Solis’ porphyry copper mineralisation footprint.” He also noted intriguing similarities to the nearby Toquepala mine, a major copper producer located 15 kilometers away.

According to geophysical data acquired via drone magnetometry, the site suggests considerable scale potential and identifies new target areas. Thomas remarked, “Cinto is a compelling copper porphyry target,” highlighting the visible mineralization noted during a recent site visit with the company’s technical director.

The copper mineralization is associated with intrusive hydrothermal breccias and bears geochemical and structural resemblances to the Toquepala mine. The identified mineralized zones have a footprint stretching approximately three kilometers and a width of 0.75 kilometers. Notably, geophysical surveys have uncovered a strong correlation between the copper mineralization and a significant magnetic low anomaly, indicating extensive hydrothermal alteration.

To advance exploration, Solis has begun the permitting process for its inaugural drilling program in the latter half of 2025, while induced polarization surveys are set to commence in June to better target potential drilling sites. The Cinto Project encompasses six granted tenements across 2,700 hectares, with five additional applications for an area of 2,800 hectares within the promising Cenozoic Porphyry Belt, which also hosts renowned copper deposits.

Solis is concurrently enhancing its drilling programs at Chancho al Palo and Ilo Este, positioning itself for potential discoveries of multiple new copper-gold resources throughout its Peruvian portfolio in 2025. Mitch Thomas stated, “With drilling set to begin at Chancho al Palo and Ilo Este this quarter, and Cinto advancing toward drilling in the second half of 2025, Solis Minerals’ portfolio has incredible potential for discovery of multiple resources capable of supporting mining operations.”

Solis Minerals Ltd has achieved significant milestones at the Cinto Project, confirming additional high-grade copper deposits indicative of a promising porphyry copper system. With ongoing development, including upcoming drilling programs and further exploration initiatives at Chancho al Palo and Ilo Este, the company is poised for further discoveries in 2025. The project’s proximity to established copper mines further enhances its potential for substantial copper-gold resource development in the competitive mining landscape of Peru.
