Gabon’s Tourism Minister Invites Lebanon’s President to Strengthen Ties

Caretaker Minister of Information Ziad Makary welcomed Gabon’s Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Pascal Ogowe Siffon, along with Chairman of Lancaster Hotels, Wissam Ali Ashour, for a meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations. Siffon conveyed a heartfelt invitation from Gabon’s President to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, emphasizing the deep-rooted Lebanese community in Gabon and expressing hopes for increased Lebanese investment in his country.

During the meeting, Minister Siffon mentioned plans to engage with various Lebanese Ministers, notably those of Tourism and Transport, regarding proposals for a direct flight route between Beirut and Libreville. He expressed his delight in visiting Lebanon, referring to it as a “wonderful country” and looked forward to extending Gabon’s hospitality to the Lebanese community, indicating their important role in Gabon’s social fabric.
