This year’s Conference will focus on urgent global security issues through its Subsidiary Bodies, fostering in-depth discussions on a variety of topics. These include nuclear disarmament, preventing nuclear war, providing negative security assurances, preventing an arms race in outer space, and addressing challenges related to the military applications of artificial intelligence and biological security. Notably, the initiative by Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to establish an International Agency for Biological Safety and Security will be highlighted during the discussions.
